So last night a group headed down to the union in the early hours of the morning to prayer and give out bottles of water and show some of God’s Agape love. And we had an awesome night.
We started off the night by prayer walking as much of the city as possible, and just prayed that God’s presence would be evident throughout all the clubs and pubs that night. We really want to claim that ground back for God.
We then started to give out water about 2am, and people were loving it, one guy commented ‘you christians are ******* awesome!’ which made us all chuckle. We also met the guys in the photo who we chatted to for ages, one of whom takes an agape bottle that he got 6 months ago into his lectures with him everyday.
The highlight of the night though was just as we were about to leave, some of the guys starting talking to a guy who was looking for a lighter. Turns out the guy loves Jesus, but has not been able to find a church yet as he works on sundays, but is now gonna join a cell group!!
So far this year we have given out of 5000 bottles of water, and been to over 30 club nights. God has been evident at everyone of them, we have seen people healed, get connected with church, and just been so open to what he has for them. He has answered so many of our prayers, and gone beyond our expectations. He’s pretty awesome!!
