The Half-time team chat

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

Romans 5:1-5

 thought for the day

The midway point. Some of us have finished and some haven’t yet started.

How are you doing?
Did the colour coded revision plans stack up? Are you holding out for late night shifts in the I.C?

Our bible passage today brings us back to perseverance.
Faithfulness in the same direction.
These present trials train our mind, our skill… but they also train our character.

Who are you?
A character question… remember you are more than your C.V.
Our present circumstances, these exams do not interpret the resurrection.
Jesus is still alive.
We are confident we still stand in his grace. We are counted in and not out. Even before the results.
God says, my child… with you I am exceedingly pleased.

So knuckle down… focus…
Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will fill our heart with love.
From the truth of verse 1 in today’s passage… let us work hard today.
