Community

Churchforstudents is simply made up of both big and small communities of students who love God and love people.

Gatherings…

Churchforstudents belongs to a bigger community called St Thomas Crookes. St Thomas’ is our wider family (all ages) which provides a place of worship, discipleship and equips all to demonstrate the love of Christ to the world. Every Sunday there are things called ‘Gatherings’. Most students attend the 7pm gathering because they’re awake by then and its awesome. All Gatherings include inspirational worship, practical teaching and space to meet loads of new people. Come along, invite a friends and bring the family!

We have three gatherings: 9am + 11.15am + 7pm

More info on Clusters (if you like that kind of thing…)

  • Clusters are mid-sized groups (larger than cells/small groups and smaller than celebrations) which grow together in their relationship to God as they explore relevant whole-life spirituality (UP).
  • Clusters build Christian community as places of belonging and participation…on days, times and places that suit (they are quite distinctly different from inherited “Sunday Service”) (IN)
  • Clusters gain identity and purpose from a united mission vision, being called to a clear geographical or network focus and engaging with the social patterns of that culture and context (OUT).
  • Clusters are linked together by a network of support and accountability to a diversity of other mid-sized groups (OF).
  • Clusters are led by ordinary unpaid Christians in their non-work time (unless it is a work based cluster), both receiving and passing on Jesus’ pattern of discipleship.
