40 day bible challenge
Day 35 | holy week
rich goodman
welcome to holy week
“In the week where loads of people will look forward to Easter eggs breaking their chocolate fast, here we’ll be looking towards the death and resurrection of Jesus. If you don’t know already it was kind of a big deal.”
This week we’re changing tactic and instead of a member of STC Students writing a blog, we’ll be posting the Holy Week Meditations from STC Sheffield each day.
Today listen to the podcast here where Mick introduces Holy Week. Then every night of Holy Week from Monday – Thursday there’ll be a meditation at 8pm here at STC so if you’re around Sheffield I’d encourage you to come along. If not then don’t worry we’ll be posting the meditation from the night before here on the blog each day.
Here’s the line up for the 8pm Meditations:
- Monday – Mark Russell on John 3:16-17
- Tuesday – Liam Brennan on John 3:1, 34-36
- Wednesday – Bryony Wells on John 15:9-17
- Thursday – Casey Strine on John 21:15-17
Then we’ll post each of the meditations above on this blog the day after (Tuesday – Friday) for you to listen to. This Holy Week with hot crossed buns in hand we’ll be coming back to the cross of Jesus together.
We’re doing a 40 Day Bible Challenge as a Student Church to engage more with the Bible and the daily podcasts we do here as a church. This week is Holy Week so Mick will kick us off today then we’ll be listening to the 8pm Meditations that are happening every evening at STC Sheffield from Monday through till Thursday.
